What is Laparoscopic Varicocelectomy?
Laparoscopic varicocelectomy is a keyhole surgery performed through 3 small cuts in the abdomen. A camera and special instruments are used to visualise and ligate the dilated testicular veins.

How the Procedure is Done
- You are given general anaesthesia.
- Small ports are placed in the abdomen.
- The testicular veins are identified and tied off while preserving the artery and lymphatics.
- Ports are removed and small cuts are closed with sutures.
Risks & Complications (General)
Any surgical procedure carries some risk, including:
Infection or bleeding
Hydrocele (fluid collection)
Rare recurrence of varicocele
Risks related to anaesthesia

Recovery & Post-operative Care
- Hospital stay: same day or 1 night in most cases
- Mild pain managed with tablets
- Back to desk work in a few days (varies by patient)

- Semen analysis follow-up in fertility cases after a few months
